Useless Stuff

After going to Chennai in July 2009, which was rather unexpected, wasn't really sure if I would be able to manage a trip to Thailand as I had originally planned.  Luckily that was the time I was in between jobs, with my new job still 2 weeks away so I knew I would not get a better time for such a trip.  As it turned out, the trip was great!  We went to Phuket, visited the Phi Phi Islands, and spend a couple of days in Bangkok towards the end as well.  Well deserved break, and wonderful vacation! This picture was taken on Sep 19, 2009 on the way to Bangkok.  Although the sun is a little too bright, if you look carefully you can just about see some of the rays hitting the bottom right of the picture.   Sunset from a plane.

Love this picture!  Took this in Phuket on September 21, 2009.  Not only was it a magnificent sunset, with some amazing cloud formations, but the couple in the foreground with the pack of dogs (nicely silhouetted as well) is the icing on the cake.

6 days in Phuket and Bangkok Must admit quite excited about going to Bangkok and Phuket next week.  Have been planning this for a while and only got the tickets and visas ready.  Plan to visit a lot of beaches, go to Phi Phi and neighbouring islands if possible and of course catch a movie in Bangkok as well.  It goes without saying that I will be taking my trusty Sony W300 as well and plan to take a boatload of pictures as well. Note to self: take extra memory card and of course the charger!
