Useless Stuff

After going to Chennai in July 2009, which was rather unexpected, wasn't really sure if I would be able to manage a trip to Thailand as I had originally planned.  Luckily that was the time I was in between jobs, with my new job still 2 weeks away so I knew I would not get a better time for such a trip.  As it turned out, the trip was great!  We went to Phuket, visited the Phi Phi Islands, and spend a couple of days in Bangkok towards the end as well.  Well deserved break, and wonderful vacation! Good old Pepper is now nearly 7 years old yet looks the same as he always did. Here are some pictures of him taken on July 14, 2006 or about 4 years ago.

Buddy holly - weezer Man on the moon - REM Tempest - Lisa Gerrard Omen - The Prodigy Meet Virginia - Train Life - Our Lady Peace Pretty eclectic mix there.  Buddy holly is the only song of weezer that I know and it along with its great video is a classic.  Man on the moon, reminds me of how good REM was and makes me wonder where they are now. The Insider was a great movie indeed and "tempest" was as appropriate as it is memorable. Thanks to "kick ass", I heard the simply amazing Omen, which had me googling "kick ass fight scene music" like mad.  This is one of those all time classics and really I thought Prodigy were long gone but this shows they still have it.  One of their very best.  And used to perfection in the movie, this song literally kicks ass.

On 20th of June, 2010, I became an uncle for the second time.  Here are some of the pictures of him in the first few days. Here is one of him with Kaniz.  He needed a lot of sun, so these were taken on the roof which he really enjoyed.

On the way to some of the islands near Phuket.  Taken on Sep 21, 2009.  Tried to make a poster like pic with CS3. As blue as the waters were, they weren't this blue.

So there was this new restaurant in Uttara and we all went to check it out. Although the food was actually pretty good, the one thing that wasn't was the crab (seen to the right). Yeah it looks pretty good here, but trust me it wasn't. Unfortunately the restaurant moved to Banani soon after, guess it wasn't doing much business here. click on the pic to get a really really uncomfortably closer view.
